Scarsdale International School Curriculum

Scarsdale International School follows the New York State Curriculum and incorporates the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) for English Language Arts (ELA)/Literacy and Mathematics in Grades K-12.

The Common Core provides a set of clear, consistent guidelines for what students should know and be able to do at each grade level in Math and English Language Arts, while stressing on and developing cognitive areas: critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical skills. Teachers tailor their instruction to the individual needs of the students in their classrooms.

These standards also ensure students are being prepared to read, write, and research across the curriculum, in other core subjects like Social Studies and Science as well. Hence, preparing all students for success in college, career, and life by the time they graduate from high school.
